5. Tips from "Ref" Rich

If you have not checked out the FTC Forum you are missing out on some great postings.

Check this FTC Forum often during the season.  The Game Rules and Game Play Forum is a valuable resource for clarity on issues affecting the field play.  Along with the Forum, make sure you are reading through the game manual.    Several questions posted are clearly covered in the game manual.

Posts of note for this week touch on:

-        Rolling Goals and Tubes (ie. Balls in the tubes and on the rolling goal are not counted in the 5 ball control rule, several posts concern tube contact/support.)  See Post #5, 17, & 23 for good info.

-        Kickstands are addressed in several posts, but #3 is very clear…

Here is the Forum link:   http://ftcforum.usfirst.org/forum.php

Submit Ref questions to SGarduno@USFIRST.org and Rich will answer all he can in the weekly ARIZONA FTC BLAST

6.Judges Corner

If your team would like to be competitive for a Judged Award please pay close attention to the game manual. Today I would like to focus on the Engineering Notebook, several awards require them. And frequently the final decision of recognition is based on the completeness and quality of information provided within the notebook.
